Other forms of race discrimination include limiting, segregating or classifying employees based on race in any way that deprives them of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affects their employment. For example, if you are an outside salesperson, it is illegal to assign you to a particular neighborhood or geographic location based upon your race.
It is also considered race discrimination if negative actions are taken against you at work because of your associations with persons of a particular race. If your employer takes damaging actions against you at work due to the race of your spouse or friends, you may have a valid claim for race discrimination.
